1. Purpose and Acceptance

Welcome to ciaoMath! We provide mathematics guidebooks and related educational information, products, and services through our website (the “Website”). This Website User Agreement (the “Agreement”) explains the terms applicable to adult customer accounts, purchases, digital delivery, and use of the Website.

Before creating an account or placing an order, customers must review this Agreement and the applicable Digital Guidebook License Agreement and must affirmatively accept them. A purchase is not completed by merely browsing public pages. The terms presented and accepted at checkout, together with the applicable product description and purchase receipt, form part of the transaction.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain data practices and visitor choices. They should be read alongside this Agreement. A separate written license or purchase arrangement will control if it expressly authorizes additional uses of a particular product.

2. Eligibility

Accounts, registrations, purchases, and direct customer transactions are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement. ciaoMath! does not offer accounts to children or teenagers, including student accounts.

An adult may purchase educational materials for a child to use within the scope of the applicable license. Public educational pages may be accessible to younger visitors without an account; the adult-only purchasing rule does not mean that every public visitor is an adult.

When registering or purchasing, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that the information you submit is accurate. You may not misrepresent your age or establish an account on behalf of a minor.

3. Products and Educational Scope

ciaoMath! offers downloadable mathematics guidebooks, generally in PDF format, and may provide educational explanations, practice materials, instructional videos, or mentoring-related information. A product listing identifies the material included in a particular purchase.

Our materials are designed to support mathematical understanding and practice. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they are not represented as an accredited school program, a replacement for individualized teaching, or a guarantee of a particular examination result, grade, academic outcome, or alignment to every school or state requirement. Since each individual is different and presents different learning styles, levels of comprehension and capabilities, the use of any ciaoMath! product does no guarantee improvement or success in mathematics, understanding of mathematics or educational improvement in any form or fashion.

Mentoring, classes, subscriptions, organizational licenses, or other offerings, if introduced, may carry additional terms disclosed before purchase. This Agreement does not create an automatic subscription or recurring charge.

4. Accounts and Account Security

If account functionality is available, you are responsible for protecting your login credentials and for activity you authorize through your account. Do not give your login credentials to another household, classroom, or organization. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account access.

We may reasonably verify account eligibility or investigate security concerns. We may suspend an account when necessary to address fraud, serious security threats, or material violations, subject to applicable law. Where practicable, we will provide a reason and an opportunity to contact support.

5. Orders, Prices, and Payments

Product prices, currency, applicable taxes, and material purchase conditions will be displayed before an order is placed. A transaction is subject to payment authorization and confirmation. An order acknowledgment is not a promise that an incorrectly described or unavailable product can be supplied; if we cannot fulfill a paid order, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, including a refund where required.

Payment and checkout services may be operated by third-party providers, which may apply their own privacy and security terms to payment processing. ciaoMath! should not be understood to store full payment-card numbers or card security codes unless an accurate, separately verified disclosure states otherwise.

No subscription or recurring payment will be initiated without separate, conspicuous terms and an affirmative authorization appropriate to that offering.

6. Digital Delivery and Technical Requirements

Purchased guidebooks are delivered electronically, ordinarily as downloadable PDF files. You are responsible for having compatible software, a suitable device, and adequate storage and internet access to obtain the file. You may save permitted backup copies consistent with the Digital Guidebook License.

Please check your order confirmation and downloaded file promptly and contact support if a link fails, a file is corrupted, or you receive an incorrect product. We will make reasonable efforts to correct delivery and file-integrity problems.

​

An initial purchase does not guarantee indefinite account-based redownload access or free access to later editions unless the product description expressly promises it. A validly downloaded copy may continue to be used under its license, subject to the license terms and applicable law.

7. Cancellations, Errors, and Refunds

Because digital guidebooks can be delivered immediately and retained after download, ciaoMath! generally does not offer discretionary change-of-mind returns once a digital product has been successfully delivered.

If a download cannot be supplied, a duplicate charge occurs, an incorrect product is delivered, or a file is materially defective, contact us with the order details. Depending on the circumstances, we will provide access assistance, a corrected or replacement file, or a refund, as appropriate and as required by law.

8. Digital Product License and Ownership

Purchasing a guidebook provides a limited license to use the downloaded content, not ownership of the copyright or an unrestricted right to reproduce or distribute it. The accompanying ciaoMath! Digital Guidebook License Agreement specifies the permitted audience, household use, copying and printing, exclusions, and conditions.

Unless a product expressly includes a different license, the standard license is for personal learning and use within the purchasing adult's single household. It does not authorize distribution of files or copies to another household, class, school, tutoring business, or online community. Classroom and institutional uses require a separately authorized license unless applicable law independently permits the particular activity.

9. Intellectual Property

The Website and ciaoMath! guidebooks may contain copyrighted instructional text, original illustrations, diagrams, layout, characters, logos, designs, and other protected expression. These materials remain the property of ciaoMath! or their respective rights holders, as applicable. The ciaoMath! name and branding may also be protected by trademark law.

You may not remove ownership notices or represent ciaoMath! materials as your own. Purchasing a product does not give you rights to ciaoMath! trademarks or branding. Copyright does not give anyone exclusive ownership of abstract mathematical facts, ideas, standard notation, or procedures; protections and permitted uses remain subject to applicable law.

10. Restricted Distribution and Third-Party AI Services

You may not upload, transmit, submit, or disclose a guidebook or any portion of its protected content to a third-party artificial intelligence service or tool, including for explanations of exercises, homework assistance, summarization, translation, answering questions, document analysis, model training, or other purportedly noncommercial purposes, unless ciaoMath! grants prior written permission or applicable law provides a right that cannot be restricted by agreement.

This includes supplying text, screenshots, photographs, scans, extracted images, diagrams, answer keys, or substantially equivalent representations of the guidebook content. The restriction applies to parents, educators, and other users as well as purchasers. It is not limited to AI model training or commercial reuse.

​

This restriction does not prohibit asking a person or a service a general mathematics question in your own words without submitting guidebook content. Nor is it intended to prohibit offline assistive features that do not disclose guidebook content to a third-party service, or legally protected accessibility uses. When available, ciaoMath!'s own instructional videos offer an authorized source of additional explanations.

Other prohibited conduct, including public posting, unauthorized classroom distribution, resale, and automated extraction, is described in the Digital Guidebook License.

11. Acceptable Website Use

You agree not to interfere with Website security, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, impersonate another person, scrape or systematically extract nonpublic or protected content, or use automated tools to harvest guidebooks or personal information. You may not circumvent access controls or use the Website to distribute unlawful or infringing material.

Reasonable ordinary browsing, accessibility tools, legitimate indexing of publicly accessible pages, and conduct expressly permitted by law are not prohibited by this section solely because they involve software or automation.

12. Third-Party Services and Embedded Content

The Website may depend on independent third-party providers for hosting, payment processing, communication, consent management, operational analytics, or optional embedded educational media. A visitor who chooses to open or play third-party content may interact with services governed by those providers' own terms and privacy policies.

ciaoMath! takes reasonable precautions in selecting and configuring third-party services, but cannot control every aspect of their independent operations or guarantee the privacy or security of information processed independently by them.

13. Privacy and Children's Information

We do not offer student accounts. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy describe information practices and visitor controls, including technical information that may be collected when public educational pages are viewed. Please do not submit a child's identifiable personal information, school records, or homework to customer contact forms unless expressly requested through an appropriately protected and legally compliant process.

14. Accuracy, Availability, and Accessibility

We take reasonable care when developing mathematics materials and correcting verified errors. Errors may nevertheless occur, and we may update product descriptions, Website functionality, or future editions. We do not promise that every service will be uninterrupted or compatible with every device.

If a purchased file is inaccessible because of a format issue or you need a lawful accessibility accommodation, contact us. We will consider reasonable alternatives and comply with applicable accessibility and copyright exceptions.

15. Disclaimers and Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, educational materials and Website features are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or a particular academic outcome. Nothing in this section disclaims an express promise made in a product listing, a legal warranty that cannot be excluded, remedies for materially defective digital goods where required, or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

16. Suspension, Termination, and Existing Purchases

We may discontinue a Website feature or close an account for a material Agreement violation, suspected fraud, or a serious security reason. We will not use a routine policy update to retroactively withdraw a lawfully purchased personal-use license from a compliant purchaser. Termination for a material violation of the Digital Guidebook License is governed by that License and subject to applicable law.

If an account closes, rights to copies already lawfully downloaded remain governed by the relevant license, except where that license is validly terminated. We may retain necessary transaction records as explained in the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

17. Disputes and Governing Law

If you believe a transaction or service has been handled incorrectly, please first contact us and describe the issue so that we can attempt to resolve it informally. Nothing here requires you to surrender a legal right to pursue a chargeback, report a consumer complaint, or seek urgent judicial relief.

To the extent legally permissible, this Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer protections or jurisdictional rules that apply to you.

18. Changes to the Agreement

We may update these terms when our operations, products, or legal obligations change. We will publish a revised effective date and provide additional notice when required. Changes ordinarily apply prospectively and do not silently alter the license scope or price of a completed purchase. A new or materially different license will require separate disclosure and acceptance when applicable.

If part of this Agreement is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent they can lawfully operate. Our failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not automatically waive it later.
