1. Purpose and Scope

ciaoMath! makes selected abbreviated or excerpted guidebooks available as free PDF samples (each, a “Sample”) so prospective purchasers can evaluate the subject matter, instructional approach, presentation, and suitability before purchasing a complete guidebook.

This Sample Guidebook Evaluation License (the “Sample License”) describes the limited permissions ciaoMath! offers for those Samples. It applies only to a PDF clearly identified as a free Sample, not to the complete paid guidebook or any separately licensed materials.

No purchase or account is required to access a Sample made publicly available on the ciaoMath! website. Samples are provided for evaluation; they do not grant access to or a license for the complete paid guidebook.

2. Who May Access and Evaluate a Sample

Visitors may view publicly accessible Samples. Adults aged 18 or older may obtain a Sample for personal or household evaluation and may make the limited copies permitted below. Adult parents or guardians may share the Sample within their own household for review by students, including minors.

Adult educators, tutors, and school representatives may obtain and individually review a Sample to assess whether the corresponding guidebook would be appropriate for their work or institution. Individual professional review is not permission for classroom or organizational distribution.

ciaoMath! does not offer accounts, registration, or purchasing privileges to individuals under 18. Students may read public educational materials without a customer account; access to public material should not be misrepresented as an invitation to register or buy.

3. Limited Evaluation Permission

Subject to the limits below, ciaoMath! grants a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, royalty-free permission to:

• View the Sample on the official ciaoMath! website and read, study, or annotate an authorized downloaded copy for personal evaluation.

• Download and store a personal copy on devices you control, solely for permitted evaluation and accessibility needs.

• Print a working copys for evaluation within the same household; an educator may print a personal review copy for their own assessment.

• Show or discuss the Sample with students who belong to the same household, or discuss it with a colleague without giving them an unauthorized copy.

• Share a link to the official ciaoMath! Sample page, so others can obtain their own authorized copy rather than distributing the PDF file.

4. Uses Not Authorized

Except as expressly permitted above, authorized separately in writing, or permitted by applicable law, you may not:

• Email, redistribute, post, upload, sublicense, sell, rent, or otherwise supply the Sample PDF or reproductions to people outside the permitted evaluation context.

• Distribute printed or digital copies to a class, school, district, tutoring group, learning-management system, library collection, public repository, file-sharing service, or commercial training operation.

• Remove or alter copyright, Sample identification, branding, or licensing notices; present protected ciaoMath! content as your own; or use its branding to imply endorsement.

• Systematically extract, scrape, compile, or republish Sample text, exercises, explanations, diagrams, solutions, or artwork for an unauthorized product, database, or repository.

• Alter the Sample so that it misleadingly appears to be an official complete guidebook, a newer edition, or an authorized derivative publication.

• Upload or share a copy to any forum, repository, artificial intelliogence system, database or cloud system.

 

Making the Sample freely available for preview does not place it in the public domain or waive ciaoMath! copyright or trademark rights.

5. Third-Party Artificial Intelligence Services

Do not upload, paste, transmit, photograph for submission, or otherwise submit any Sample content, in whole or in part, to a third-party AI tool or service without ciaoMath!'s prior written authorization. This includes generative AI chatbots, AI homework solvers, AI document-analysis platforms, AI tutoring applications, model-training services, and comparable external systems.

The restriction covers individual questions, answer keys, explanations, illustrations, screenshots, scans, photographs, tables, and extracted text. It applies even if the submission is private, noncommercial, made by a parent or educator, or intended only to obtain help explaining an exercise. It does not depend on whether the provider trains a model using the submitted content.

You may ask general mathematical questions in your own words without transmitting Sample content. This section does not prohibit wholly local assistive features that do not send Sample content to a third-party provider, or uses protected by rights that cannot lawfully be restricted. When available, ciaoMath! instructional videos are the preferred source of additional explanations.

6. Copyright and Intellectual Property

A guidebook is normally supplied as a downloadable PDF. You may use compatible PDF readers and ordinary local printing tools. The ability to download again from an online account may be limited by Website operation and is not guaranteed indefinitely unless stated in the product description. Keep your own permitted backup.

Any embedded hyperlink or reference to an external website is provided for convenience; it does not grant additional rights to ciaoMath! content or bind the external provider to this License.

7. Accessibility and Applicable Legal Exceptions

Nothing in this Sample License is intended to eliminate fair use, disability-access rights, non-waivable consumer protections, or other uses that applicable law permits and that cannot validly be restricted by contract. Visitors who require an accessible format or lawful accommodation may contact ciaoMath!. Requests will be reviewed in accordance with applicable law; any request procedure does not replace statutory accessibility rights.

8. Educational Purpose and Limitations

A Sample is an abbreviated preview and may omit prerequisites, later lessons, solutions, answer explanations, reference material, assessments, or corrections included in the complete guidebook. It should not be represented as a complete course or used as a substitute for the full product when full coverage is needed. ciaoMath! endeavors to provide accurate educational material, but no particular test score, academic outcome, or suitability for a specific curriculum is guaranteed. Nothing here excludes obligations, representations, or legal remedies that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

9. Privacy, External Services, and Contact

Accessing the ciaoMath! website or downloading a Sample may involve ordinary website operations and third-party service providers. The ciaoMath! Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain data practices and visitor controls. Those documents do not expand the copyright permissions granted here. Links or embedded content operated by independent third parties may be subject to those providers' own terms. ciaoMath! takes reasonable precautions but does not control every aspect of a third party's independent processing, without limiting any legal responsibility ciaoMath! itself bears.

10. Availability, Changes and Withdrawals

ciaoMath! may add, update, replace, or withdraw a Sample from its website. It may correct an error or change the preview pages offered. No continuing entitlement to a particular Sample, edition, or full paid guidebook is created by its public availability.

Permission granted for a previously obtained Sample generally remains subject to the terms presented when the Sample was obtained, unless that permission is validly terminated for a material violation or applicable law requires otherwise. Changes to this Sample License normally apply prospectively.

For a material misuse, ciaoMath! may request that the conduct cease and may withdraw contractual permission to the extent permitted by law. Any statutory rights remain unaffected.

11. Relationship to Other Agreements

This Sample License governs free evaluation Samples. The separate Digital Guidebook License Agreement governs purchased PDFs, and the Website User Agreement governs website accounts, checkout, and other general matters. A separately stated and lawfully accepted license for a particular product controls where it expressly differs. To the extent legally permitted, Florida law governs disputes concerning this License, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdictional rules applicable to visitors.

12. Permissions and Contact

Requests for classroom distribution, school adoption, translation, adaptation, republication, accessibility assistance, or other uses beyond this Sample License may be sent to ciaoMath!. No permission is granted merely by submitting a request.
